"Whats Love Got to Do With It?" :: REVAMPED. Saturday Evening Service- Thanh Tran

What's love got to do with it? Tina Turner, "What's Love Gotta do with It?"
God has used the relationship between a husband and a wife to show his love for us. There is no where we can run that will cause us to be lost from the Love of God! How about our love for him? What is the intensity and degree of our love for God? Consider where you are in your love for Jesus.

Ephesus, was a powerful city equal to NY & LA put together. It was a place of trading. It soon became a wealthy & powerful city. A temple of Artemis/Diana became the center of witchcraft, demonic activity, and idol worship. In such a dark and oppressive world, God saw the need for His work to be done, so he sent Paul. Acts 19. God is moving in Paul's life.  Acts 19:10, 11, 12, 19. Paul's powerful message was sent throughout Asia.

Revelations 2:1. The first letter Paul writes he, PRAISES, the church of Ephesus. After that Paul mentions their works. They stand for truth. And also they stand tough against pressures of the world.

We need to go back to our priority, our Love for God. The kind of Love they could have left? Worship...reaching out to the lost...or even lost their love for Jesus Christ.

So how did the church get to the way it did? It's because of the people. Because it is the PEOPLE who make the church. Jeremiah 2

How important is Love. Zero is a funny number, 0x0 = 0, 0+0= 0, even if you have ten zeros, it's still zero. However if you place a one in front of the zero, that changes everything. THat is LOVE. Love changes everything. It makes our empty works of nothing, complete with the addition of God's love.

The second part of the letter was the PROBLEM.

Remember the day that you were so in love with God. Turn back from where you are and go back to the first place. Repentance in the Christian life doesn’t end when we give our lives to Jesus! Repentance is an ongoing process! We need to realize the sins that still linger in our lives so that we can learn from them. To improve as a Christian is to learn to recognize sin when it happens, and also to repent from it. It's as we grow with God, we find that we want to become better, to be MORE like Him because of our Love FOR HIM we love him more.

"Come back to Me during that time when your love for Me was a loving, and undying affection. Come back to Me"
